Phoenix Davies

Phoenix’s first experience of Opwall was back in 2012 as a volunteer on our Mexico expedition which emphatically confirmed his decision to study a BSc in Biology at the University of Derby. After graduating and spending a couple of years running his family’s pub, Phoenix joined Opwall expeditions to Honduras, working on our camp management team in 2017, 2018 & 2019 and fell in love with Central America. Following some solo travelling through Central America, he led an adventurous expedition through Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica. With more recent experience in the sustainability/recycling industry, he came on board full time in 2022 managing our terrestrial project in Cusuco, Honduras. Phoenix also works with our sister organisation rePLANET, working with the team to develop and report on long-term carbon and biodiversity credit projects driving large scale ecological restoration and protection worldwide.
