Nastarsia’s passion for traveling, the ocean, and scientific research has been a driving force in her career. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Animal Science, where she focused her research project on the physiological and psychological effects plastics have on both human and animal species. After finishing university she went on to work as an associate scientist.
Her appetite for adventure took Nastarsia to the Seychelles where she did an internship in marine conservation and research. This allowed her to gain her PADI Rescue diver certification and swim with whale sharks! Nastarsia also loves to document her travels by taking lots of photos/videos and uses social media platforms as a digital scrapbook!
Nastarsia joined the Operation Wallacea team in spring 2024 and has been our Marine site manager on Silba Island in Croatia.
