Evie has always loved wildlife and travelling and decided to pursue a career in conservation, initially by completing a degree in BSc Animal Biology and Conservation at Oxford Brookes University. Outside of her studies she has had some interesting chances to work with wildlife such as through volunteering for her local Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, working with a local organisation around Oxford to facilitate wildflower meadow restoration and helping Loggerhead Sea turtle hatchlings on their way to the ocean in Greece.
Shortly following finishing her undergraduate, she joined us in South Africa as a terrestrial African ecology lecturer and thoroughly enjoyed sharing the experience of going on game drives with the students. This role fitted with her well as her primary research interest surrounds water resource management for African wildlife, which she hopes to continue making scientific contributions to in her career. After expedition season she joined us full-time within the sales team and will be heading for our Croatia terrestrial site this season!
