Ana was born and raised in Honduras, always surrounded by mountains and forests made her have a strong connection to nature and conservation.
In 2016 she had the opportunity to work for the first time with OPWALL and local partner ESAC as Camp Coordinator at Cusuco site which led her to pursue a career in Ecotourism. Graduated in 2021 from Universidad Metropolitana de Honduras with a degree in Ecotourism and later on finished a specialty in Management and Conservation of Natural Spaces.
After graduating Ana did a 2-month internship in a national park where she was able to work with environmental education for visitors and visitor service experience. A few months later, she was offered a job as an Administrator for a private natural reserve for 1 year, during her time there she was able to embark on conservation and sustainability projects, environmental education programs for local schools, and ecotourism activities.
In 2022 and 2023 Ana found her way back to Cusuco as Camp Manager and will be joining the Sales Teams and the Cusuco expedition for 2024!
