Abi graduated from the University of Essex in 2018 with an MSc in Tropical Marine Biology. During her time at uni she went with Opwall and spent 8 weeks on the island of Hoga in Indonesia scuba diving to collect data for her dissertation. In 2019 she spent 2 months in the Bahamas as an intern at Bimini Shark Lab where she helped with data collection for PhD students researching great hammerheads and lemon sharks. Abi moved from Hampshire to Norfolk in May 2023, joining the operations team of Opwall in November 2023, and is excited to learn all about the travel side of the company! In her spare time, Abi is involved with BDMLR as a Marine Mammal Medic, and has been involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of several common seal pups in the summer of 2023. She also loves horse riding, spending time with her two cats, and going on walks on one of the many stunning Norfolk beaches. She is determined to try and wild swim throughout the winter at one of her many local beaches as she can no longer use “living too far from the sea” as an excuse!
