Our only marine site in South Africa, Sodwana Bay offers an excellent training ground for future marine scientists. While we don’t currently have active research at this site, the huge diversity of marine life that can be observed here make it perfect for learning about marine biology in all its forms. From nudibranchs to humpback whales, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as you dive or snorkel within South Africa’s largest marine protected area – iSimangaliso. This protection extends to much of the coastline too, meaning there are plenty of beautiful Sand dunes and rock pools to explore when you are out of the water. The accommodation here is based in a private camp made up of small cabins with hot running water for showers.
