Buenos Aires translates as "good air" and is a friendly, remote community that Opwall have been working with since 2004. The majority of local staff that work within Cusuco as guides, cooks and porters live in Buenos Aires with their families and maintain small coffee plantations nearby outside of the Opwall season. It is just a small village with a growing population of approximately 500 people but it is developing rapidly every year! If you are spending any time here during your expedition, you will have the privilege of staying in groups in houses within the community. The houses here are basic with little or no electricity and basic shower facilities and meals are served in a small restaurant in the village.
Buenos Aires is a sub location to Honduras
