Paper Summary:
This paper documents the nesting behaviour of the Natewa Silktail (Lamprolia klinesmithi); a poorly studied species in the Fantail Family that is restricted to the Natewa Peninsula of Vanua Levu, Fiji. This study documents the appearance and habitat specificity of four nests – the first nest descriptions for this species. It also monitored parental attentiveness and provisioning rates at two of these nests. The results of this study, which were published in the Bulletin of the British Ornithological Club, shed important new light on the natural history of this globally threatened species, head to our Facebook or Twitter for the link to access the paper
