Operation Wallacea has developed research centres and facilities at many sites around the world. Several of these are available to be used by universities and schools for independent bespoke field trips. These trips can provide the opportunity to study in unique and remote areas, can be designed around the requirements of the institution and are highly flexible. For example you could be based at just one site or move around sampling different habitats, including time in both forest and marine systems if required. They can be completely personalised to meet the needs of the group and are available for 7, 10 or 14 days between September and May.
Opwall has given me invaluable experience as a research assistant and is a great way to start out in conservation.
