Overseas school and sixth form trips
The Operation Wallacea programme allows students from all over the world to join as part of a group. Usually accompanied by their teacher, often from a biology, geography, environmental science field, although many times from other disciplines also.
The design of the research expeditions is that any student who has a keen interest in conservation, research, environmental concerns and sustainability can take part. It is extremely beneficial for those of whom study biology/geography/environmental sciences and to those looking to take part in conservation volunteering.
Our usual expeditions offer 2 week placements in a field environment working with scientists/academics and have slightly different structures in each country. Documents outlining the programme of skills training, academic lectures, practicals and field research are provided to the students in advance of the expeditions and are available on each countries page on the website. Training is also given in how to prepare for the expedition and how to fundraise.
We also have opportunities for in country trips and shorter (5 day/1 week) courses and expeditions. Individuals can also join. Please contact us or submit and expression of interest for further details: info@opwall.com

After winning Best Geography Experience Operation Wallacea is pleased to announce we were nominated as a finalist in the School Travel Awards for 2025 in the School Tour Operator Category!
